Injured Jockey Update - Chris O'Brien (Gosford, Tuesday)

Racing NSW Steward, Danny Greer, has reported that jockey Chris O’Brien suffered a fall at Gosford on Tuesday (5th March) at around 5:30am.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear, however, Chris was dislodged from his mount in the back straight.

Chris has sustained a concussion and was transported to Gosford Hospital for observation and will not be riding today at Scone.

[Update at 4:15pm on Tuesday, 5th March]: Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth reports that Chris has been discharged from hospital and his scans were clear. Chris will see a GP on Friday to check that he is OK to ride on the weekend.
