Licensing Department

The Licensing Department is responsible for the review and processing of applications for a licence from Trainers, Jockeys and other licensed persons.

Approvals for each category of licence are either determined by the Licensing Department with delegated authority, or referred on to the Licensing Committee.

Licensing Committee

The role of the Licensing Committee is to make recommendations to the Chief Executive regarding licence decisions, and recommendations to the Chief Executive and Board re the setting of licensing policy and procedure for Racing NSW.

Applicants for licences may be further interviewed at Licensing Committee meetings, and decisions or recommendations forwarded to the Chief Executive for approval or final decision.
