Lookout For Neasham's Talented Trio At Wyong (Sat)

By Gary Harley

Annabel Neasham, who trained the winner of Wyong’s richest race, the $200,000 2YO Magic Millions in mid-December, will send three winning prospects to Wyong’s meeting on Saturday.

Soaring Ambition, the Magic Millions winner is one of the favourites for the Gold Coast 2-year-old Magic Millions next week, while at Wyong on Saturday Tick Tock Boom, Regal Pom and Forever You will represent the stable.

Tick Tock Boom will contest the TAB.COM.AU Class 1 Handicap (1350m) with Ellen Hennessy aboard and formerly trained by David Van Dyke.

The 4yo was having his first start for Neasham when a close second over 1200m at Gosford on December 23. He was slowly away and raced near the rear to the turn when he unleashed a strong finish down the outside. The longer trip on Saturday is in his favour.

Regal Pom runs in the Canadian Club Maiden Handicap (1350m) and he has a soft draw. He has been placed in three of his five starts and he was only beaten by 1¼-lengths first-up at Warwick Farm when third. The 3yo normally races in the first four.

Irish-bred mare Forever You, a daughter of the great sire Galileo, will be having her second start in the Magic Millions Maiden (1600m). On debut on Newcastle’s Beaumont Track on Boxing Day, the 4yo mare found the 1350m too short when she came from 10 lengths off the lead to go down by a length. The mare has drawn nicely and the longer trip is ideal.

RACE 1, TAB.COM.AU CLASS 1 HANDICAP, 1350M: Tick Tock Boom has only won one from 14, however, his first start for Annabel Neasham at Gosford on December 23 was an eye-catcher. He was among the tailenders to the turn where he got to the outside and stormed home. He has drawn well. Mihocek has no speed but he is strong late and is fitter now. Marnix wasn’t far away at Warwick farm last start.
SELECTIONS: 1 TICK TOCK BOOM, 3 MIHOCEK, 2 MARNIX

RACE 2, CANADIAN CLUB MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1350M: Regal Pom has been placed in three of five starts and has drawn perfectly. He raced on the speed when beaten just over a length at Warwick Farm recently. He has raced well second-up. Tuhinga came from well back when narrowly beaten on the Beaumont Track on Boxing Day and he was narrowly beaten at Gosford earlier this year. Auzstar has his foot on the till.
SELECTIONS: 5 REGAL POM, 1 TUHINGA, 7 AUZSTAR

RACE 3, GREAT NORTHERN ON TAP MAIDEN PLATE, 1000M: Mr Putin is a 2yo colt that has only had the one start at Warwick Farm on December 22. In a classy race won by the boom youngster Man In The Mirror, Mr Putin led only to be run down and beaten by 1¼-lengths. He has drawn nicely and will give them something to chase around Wyong.
SELECTIONS: 11 MR PUTIN, 3 DIJON, 5 ITALIAN INFORMANT

RACE 4, JARRAD THE MODEL BM 64 HANDICAP, 2100M: Miss Dela steps up to 2100m and the mare is in good form. She ran on strongly to win over 1900m on a heavy track at Canterbury Park on December 10. Last start she was placed at Newcastle over 1850m and she is well placed here. Barellan Bandit has won two of his past three starts on country tracks and Flying Mojo is a recent Taree winner.
SELECTIONS: 2 MISS DELIA, 3 BARELLAN BANDIT, 1 FLYING MOJO

RACE 5, MAGIC MILLIONS MAIDEN PLATE, 1600M: Forever You is a 4yo that has raced once on the Beaumont Track on Boxing Day. She was second last in a field of 12 at the top of the straight and rocketed home to be beaten a length. The longer trip is ideal. Russian Ruble was narrowly beaten at Newcastle last start and he will be hard to beat. Inuwashi looked good on debut when placed on the Beaumont Track.
SELECTIONS: 12 FOREVER YOU, 7 RUSSIAN RUBLE, 1 INUWASHI

RACE 6, RYAN’S METAL ROOFING BM 68 HANDICAP, 1200M: Da Nang Star was narrowly beaten first-up at Gosford on December 23. He was in second place all the way and he led throughout to win at Hawkesbury before a spell. He has drawn nicely. Moralist beat a similar field last start and is consistent. Tow Up is in good form this prep.
SELECTIONS: 10 DA NANG STAR, 4 MORALIST, 3 TWO UP

RACE 7, WYONG’S NEXT RACE MEETING JAN 18 CLASS 1, 1350M: Black On Beauty is a speedy and talented filly that was brilliant in an all the way Newcastle win on debut on December 4. She was a close third at Canterbury three weeks ago. Shameless Miss has a good record and she has trialled since her last start win at Newcastle in September. Air Of Alsace has a win and a third from two starts this prep.
SELECTIONS: 4 BLACK ON BEAUTY, 1 SHAMELESS MISS, 2 AIR OF ALSACE
