Talented New Zealand-bred mare Belluci Babe ($1.65 favourite on TAB) resumes in the 1000m Class 1 Handicap at Wyong on Tuesday and she has outstanding recent trial form. Belluci Babe is trained by Bjorn Baker and prior to her only start at Kembla Grange in January, she bolted in with two barrier trials at Kembla and Canterbury Park in December.

On debut at Kembla on January 11, Belluci Babe blitzed a maiden field by 2 lengths when backed into $1.75. After a spell this mare has beat Spaceboy by 4.8 lengths in a Warwick Farm trial then went over the line alongside Villami in a Rosehill trial on September 15.

RACE 1, DE BORTOLI WINES MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1350M: Write On ($2.10 fav) is a speedy three-year-old with very good form. On debut in April, he was placed behind Macroura at Kembla and first-up recently on this track he didn’t have a lot of luck in the straight when beaten 2 lengths in a better field than this. Josh Parr rides from a good barrier. Destacado ($3) is fitter after two starts from a 19-month spell and Deep Creek ($6) wasn’t beaten far at Hawkesbury.

RACE 2, WYONG RACE CLUB MAIDEN PLATE, 1100M: Malkovich ($1.80 fav) was gutsy first-up on the Kensington Track on August 26 when beaten .3 of a length. He led to the shadows of the post and he had two 6 length trial wins prior to the first-up run. The colt finished midfield behind Dame Giselle in a Golden Gift on debut in November. Colonel ($3) had his second start at Kembla on September 12 and he ran on strong when beaten a head. Born A Warrior ($4.60) raced on Thursday and if he backs up will run well.

RACE 3, COCA-COLA MAIDEN PLATE, 1100M: Ballistic Lover ($2.40 fav) resumes from a spell after a nice trial at Rosehill recently. Last prep the filly was placed on this track and was runner-up at Canterbury in May. On debut in December at Kembla she was runner-up to the smart Bartley. Pia Sofia ($3.60) led all the way to win a Randwick trial recently and she was placed on debut at Hawkesbury in May. Zain’s Girl ($6.50) is on debut and she has been trialling well.

RACE 4, TEAM THOROUGHBRED NSW MAIDEN PLATE, 2100M: Overthink ($2.50 fav) put the writing on the wall when narrowly beaten at Hawkesbury last start. He was run down late on the heavy track and with a firmer track expected he can break through here. Anakin Skywalker ($3.10) was disappointing second-up at Scone, however, his first-up run at Newcastle was good enough. Omaka ($6) has a place chance.

RACE 5, TAB.COM.AU CLASS 1 HANDICAP, 1600M: Let Me Think ($4.20) is still a maiden but has her hoof on the till. She was only beaten a length at Canterbury last start and she was placed in her previous two starts at Kembla and Newcastle. She was a close second in her only start on this track. Jeanne D’arc ($3.60) led all the way to win at Hawkesbury last start and Aspect Ratio ($2.70 fav) was placed on this track recently.

RACE 6, POLICE MEMORIAL WEEK – REMEMBERING FALLEN OFFICERS, CLASS 1 HANDICAP, 1350M: Sammy ($2.50 fav) was very good in winning a Maiden on Wyong Cup Day. He was strong late after racing three-wide no cover and over racing early mid-race. His two other starts earlier in the year were at Hawkesbury and Newcastle and he was placed in both. Exotic Ruby ($4) went really good second-up and she had good city form last prep. Crosscheck ($5) is racing well.

RACE 7, GREAT NORTHERN ON TAP B/M 68, 1100M: Empress Bea ($6.50) won brilliantly first-up at Gosford and her two subsequent runs at Canterbury and the Kensington Track have been solid. She was only beaten a length by In Lighten Me and Archanna in a much stronger field than this on the Kensington Track four weeks ago. Bigger Than Thorn ($4.60 fav) has won his past two starts at Kembla and Goulburn in easy style and has to be respected. Bollywood ($4.80) is first-up after a good trial win and she is drawn nicely.

RACE 8, WYONG’S NEXT RACEDAY OCTOBER 1 CLASS 1, 1000M: Belluci Babe ($1.65 fav) resumes after two outstanding trials. Villami beat her a nose in a recent Rosehill trial and she beat Spaceboy easily in a Warrick Farm trial on September 3. In her only race start at Kembla in January she bolted in. Rocketing By ($3.90) was impressive winning at Newcastle and Already Blessed ($8.50) has a place chance.
