Racing Dreams Kicks Off At 9am On Saturday (6th March)

As the 2021 autumn carnival gets underway, Sky News Australia has announced Racing Dreams will return for its fifth season this Saturday (6th March) at 9am AEDT on Sky News on Foxtel and regional free-to-air channel Sky News on WIN.

Anchored by Tim Gilbert and Julie Snook, the one-hour weekly program will bring viewers rare behind-the-scenes insights into the runners, jockeys, owners, and trainers as they battle it out during the season to secure their place in racing history.

In the first episode this Saturday, Tim speaks with Racing NSW about the success of racing throughout the pandemic.

He is also joined by horse trainer Mark Newnham whose runner Harmony Rose is in the frame for this weekend's Group 1 Randwick Guineas race.

Julie sits down with up-and-coming jockey Andrew Adkins following his almost career-ending accident last year to share insight into his recovery and how he has gotten back in the saddle.

Also returning to the program in 2021, resident mounting yard analyst Lizzie Jelfs, who will continue to provide her racing analysis. Brett Finch from PointsBet will also share his expertise ahead of the big races.

Racing Dreams airs each Saturday at 9am AEDT from 6th March on Sky News in partnership with Racing NSW, Inglis, PointsBet and Arrowfield.
