Jockey Quotes - Theo Marks Stakes

Catch me if you can tactics paid off on Godolphin import Home Of The Brave, find out what the jockeys made of their mounts in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) at Rosehill Gardens.

Glyn Schofield (Home Of The Brave): “He’s all about go this fella. For the majority of the race I just tried to keep him happy without trying to fight him too much, but without letting him run too hard.

“Conditions are trying and testing, he got through them really well and congratulations to James (Cummings) and the team.

“He’s got a lot of spunk about him, his foot is always on the accelerator, he wants to go but he’s got ability to go with it which is great.”

Home Of The Brave leads all the way in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes at Rosehill

Tye Angland (Trapeze Artist): “Good run. I was happy with the way he relaxed underneath me. Came into it feeling great but when I asked him to quicken the wheels spun a little bit. This heavy track is not his go.”

James McDonald (Shillelagh): “Really ran super. Didn’t handle the track at all but she’s in for a great prep.”

Hugh Bowman (D'Argento): “Really pleased with him.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Foxplay): “She just struggled. Didn’t travel at all the whole way.”

Corey Brown (Kingsguard): “Ran really well. Not his trip but he actually loomed up and ran really well.”

Rachel King (Siege Of Quebec): “Really struggled on that heavy track.”\
