Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the The Kosciuszko (1200m) at Randwick.
Tommy Berry (Art Cadeau): “A lot of people where querying whether Terry could do it first up. He knows this horse back to front. He had a bit of work to do at the top of the straight. As I said all week we don’t know how good he is."
"Every time we raise the bar he keeps jumping it. He loves to get in a bit of a battle. He beat one of those hard heads that was competing in Group races."
“He felt strong all the way through. He’s got that attribute that he wants to lay on his rivals when he gets close to them. It was the perfect preparation. Not a hiccup at all."
Art Cadeau simply refused to lose!
Nash Rawiller (Handle The Truth): “Brilliant run. It exposed us a little bit soon when the leader ran off but I knew he'd be bloody tough to run down. Full credit to the winner. My bloke was very good.”
Josh Parr (Plonka): “Very well prepared horse. He ran really well all things considered.”
Jeff Penza (Aheadofhistime): “He ran a super race. Likes to get out wide and run on but that wasn’t happening. Had to go through the middle. He ran really well.”
James McDonald (Spiranac): “Beautiful mare. Ran her heart out. Arguably should have won. She ran well.”
Hugh Bowman (Edit): “I was really pleased with him. Come the Autumn over 1400m he will be right in the mix against these horses.”
Tim Clark (Ice In Vancouver): “Just knocked up late. Ran okay.”
Jason Collett (Island Bay Boy): “Raced keen.”
Matthew Palmer (Nadaraja): “Did a lot of wrong things. Obviously very disappointing but he’s probably come to the end of his campaign. Looking for a break.”
Regan Bayliss (Mr Hussill): “Great run. He’s a lightly-raced horse who will keep improving. Will be a great Country Championships horse for next year.”
Robbie Dolan (Ceasefire): “Probably a horse for next year. Just caught wide the trip.”
Alysha Collett (Patino Ruby): “She was getting pinballed everywhere. She’s a nice little horse.”
Glen Boss (Sunrise Ruby): “She ran terrific. Roughed up on the turn but to her credit really rallied and hit the line well.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Irish Songs): “Good run. He got a little bit lit up mid-race but presented and stuck on nicely the last bit.”
