Jockey Quotes - Sweet Embrace

Melbourne raider Seabrook got the better of a brave Fiesta in the G2 Chandon S Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick.

Seabrook taking out the Sweet Embrace for Mick Price

Hugh Bowman (Seabrook): “I truly believe she will improve a lot with this run. The conditions are quite testing with the strong head wind and moisture in the ground. But she was tough late. She has (Golden) Slipper written all over her.”

Adam Hyeronimus (Setsuna): “I thought she went super first up.”

Kerrin Mcevoy (Fiesta): “Ran well. Winner just had the sit on us, we hit the line nicely.”

Andrew Adkins (Satin Slipper): “Very disappointing. She probably just wanted to travel a touch hard. I think riding her back in her races is probably more suitable where she can relax.”

Rachel King (Perfect Pitch): “Really good run today, much improved from first up.”

Jason Collett (Futooh): “Worked home but probably just peaked in the last furlong.”

Christian Reith (Into The Abyss): “Really nice run. Blinkers definitely helped her and she’ll take big improvement off that.”

Tim Clark (Adamina): “Had a nice run. She’s just a bit immature still.”

Glyn Schofield (Couvre Lit): “She raced a bit ungenerously.”

Brenton Avdulla (Sweet Ava): “She was okay.”

Glen Boss (Casadiva): “She got it all wrong. Not really a two-year-old, she’ll probably go to the paddock now and mature as a nice three-year-old.”

Jay Ford (Now Or Never): “Wasn’t comfortable at any stage in the run.”
