Jockey Quotes - Hall Mark Stakes

Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 3 $160,000 TAB Hall Mark Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick.

Josh Parr (Splintex): “We were afforded a beautiful run outside the leader. Easy Eddie set us a nice tempo. Gave us something to chase. He came up the hill with a head full of steam. Gee I was confident a long way from home.”

“He is a very consistent horse. He has mixed his form recently with the competition that he has met. He came here today meeting a field that he probably should have beaten and we’re glad that he did. I think the track conditions have come into play a couple of times when he has met a sharper sprinter."

Tommy Berry (Victorem): “He was brilliant the time they ran home in. Impossible for him to win but it was nice of him to show what he has been showing in the trials.”

Rachel King (Deprive): “Just really felt that firm track.”

Jamie Kah (Roheryn): “Very good. Unlucky.”

James McDonald (Signore Fox): “Good run.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Easy Eddie): “Ran well. He might be needing a bit more juice in the ground but he’s going well.”

Hugh Bowman (Ranier): “Delighted with his return.”

Keagan Latham (Eleven Eleven): “I obviously expected a bit better of a run but he takes a bit more racing to get fit and needed today’s effort”

Tim Clark (Outback Barbie): “She’s gone probably as good as she can go so very happy.”
