Family Fun This Easter Saturday At Rosehill Gardens

Families can enjoy fun-filled afternoon of racing, fashion and entertainment on Stakes Day, the final day of the Longines Golden Slipper Carnival, this Saturday 31 March at Rosehill Gardens.

On course, free activities will be running throughout the day including face painters, airbrush tattooists, petting zoo, pony rides and a games van full of all of the classic collections.

A number of prizes will be up for grabs for the kids at the Junior Fashion Chute with special guest judge, the Easter Bunny, deciding the winners. Children aged 2-5 years, 6-9 years and 10-12 years will all be eligible to enter with contestants simply needing to have their photo taken at the Junior Fashion Chute photo wall.

All patrons can access some of the best gourmet street food by Trinhy’s Vietnamese, Chur Burger, Caminito South American, Busfood, Street Sliders, Chandon S Easy Chic Tram and the James Squire Beer Garden, at the Eats at the Gardens precinct.

On the track, two Group 1 races will headline the day; the $1.5million KIA Tancred Stakes and the $500,000 Vinery Stud Stakes.

Darren Weir-trainer Gailo Chop is the $2.20 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the KIA Tancred Stakes following his Group 1 win in the Ranvet Stakes last Saturday.

Unforgotten, trained by Chris Waller, will step up to the 2000m distance for the first time in the Vinery Stud Stakes and has been supported into $4.80 TAB Fixed Odds after taking out the Chanson S Phar Lap Stakes on 17 March at Rosehill Gardens.
