Chief Veterinary Officer Reports On Encap & Relentless Voyager

Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Carly Garling has notified Stewards that following an inspection of all runners in the James Squire Golden Eagle, ENCAP was found to have some discomfort in its near fore foot for which it is being treated.

All other horses declared to start in the James Squire Golden Eagle have been cleared to race.

Dr Garling also advised that an examination of RELENTLESS VOYAGER, a declared starter in the Rosehill Gold Cup, found the horse to have some discomfort in the medial heel of the near fore foot.

ENCAP and RELENTLESS VOYAGER will both be subject to a further official veterinary examination on Saturday morning to confirm their suitability to race.
