Randwick And Rosehill Back-To-Back For Festive Weekend

Australian Turf Club hosts back-to-back meetings again this weekend with a nine-race card at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday to follow a rare Friday twilight meeting at Royal Randwick tomorrow.

Saturday celebrates the festive season at the traditional Christmas at Rosehill Gardens Raceday, featuring a variety of free entertainment and treats.

Santa will be available for free photo moments along with his helpers handing out sweets for families and patrons in Members and general admission areas.

The Australian Girls Choir will be at various locations on course across the afternoon, lending their voices to add to the Christmas atmosphere.

Free face painting with a Christmas theme will be available from midday to 4.00pm.

On the track at Rosehill Gardens, the first of nine races begins at 1.15pm, with ATC Members gates opening from midday and general admission gates at 12.15pm.

The Rosehill Gardens track was rated a Good 4 on Thursday morning, and a video report with Rosehill Gardens Racecourse Manager Shaun Patterson is available here:

At Royal Randwick on Friday, the first of seven races is due to jump at 3.10pm, and the final event at 6.45pm.

The later start allows workers and those starting early end-of-year gatherings the chance to share the Christmas season on track with colleagues and friends.
