Wyong Race Club's New Starting Gates Arrive

Wyong has taken delivery of a new 16-horse Steriline Platinum set of starting gates.

The safety aspects and the many benefits of the Platinum model starting gate are being recognised by Clubs around the world providing not only decreased loading times at the starting gate, but reduced incidents and reduced scratchings at the barrier.

The Platinum starting gate is the latest and most modern design available, with these same gates being used at Randwick, Flemington, Hong Kong and Royal Ascot to name but a few other leading Clubs.

The Steriline starting gate padding is said to be three times more effective at absorbing impact than any other starting gate, meaning the number of starting stall injuries is reduced, the severity of starting stall injuries are minimised, it is quieter inside the starting barriers, keeping horses calmer and jockeys, handlers and horses have the ultimate protection inside the starting barriers.

Wyong Race Club acknowledges the support of Magic Millions as our valued branding sponsor of the new Steriline gates which will be in operation for our upcoming Wyong Gold Cup Carnival.
