Veterinary Updates For Our Ivanhowe, Rising Red & Echo Effect (Rosehill Sat)

Please see the following veterinary updates for horses engaged to race at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

Our Ivanhowe: The BMW, 2400m Co-trainer Mr Anthony Freedman today advised Racing NSW Stewards that Our Ivanhowe, as reported by the Stewards, had pulled up with some lameness in the off-fore leg subsequent to winning the Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday. He advised that Our Ivanhowe has been treated to manage the lameness and the horse had been inspected by Dr Allan Frogley who has certified to Racing NSW Stewards that the lameness has continue to improve. Mr Freedman advised that the horse has continued with its usual training regime of swimming and light exercise, particularly backing up in 7 days on Saturday. Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann shall examine Our Ivanhowe on Friday to assess the horse's suitability to take its place in The BMW on Saturday.

Rising Red: Tulloch Stakes, 2000m Co-trainer Mr Trent Busuttin today advised Racing NSW Stewards that Rising Red was found to be displaying mild lameness in its near fore leg following a working gallop on Wednesday, 15 March 2017. Mr Busuttin advised that consequently he didn’t accept with the gelding on Saturday, 18 March 2017 in the Rosehill Guineas and the gelding recommenced work on Saturday, whereby it completed a track gallop. Mr Busuttin advised that Rising Red will again gallop on Wednesday morning and he shall submit to the Stewards a veterinary clearance. Mr Busuttin further advised that given the prediction of heavy track conditions for Saturday and mindful of the requirement to back up in 7 days into the ATC Derby, a final decision as to whether the gelding will take its place in the Tulloch Stakes has not yet been made. Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann will inspect Rising Red on Friday to assess its suitability to take its place in the Tulloch Stakes.

Echo Effect: Doncaster Prelude & Kembla Provincial Championships Qualifier Trainer Ms K Buchanan has submitted a veterinary clearance certifying that Echo Effect is suitable to take its place in the Doncaster Prelude and the Kembla Grange Provincial Championships Qualifier .
