Trainer Noel Boland Disqualified For Six Months

Racing NSW Stewards today conducted an inquiry into a complaint made by NJC Employee (gap attendant), Mr T. Ingle, relative to the conduct of licensed trainer, Mr Noel Boland, at Cessnock Racecourse during trackwork on the 15th July 2017.

Evidence was taken from Mr T. Ingle, Mr S. Tapp, licensed trainer Mr J. Sylvester, licensed trainer Mr D. Jackson and licensed trainer, Mr N. Boland.

Trainer, Noel Boland was found guilty of a charge under AR175(q), in that he did conduct himself improperly on the morning of 15/7/17 at Cessnock Racecourse when, during trackwork hours, did engage in a heated argument with NJC employee (Cessnock gap attendant), Mr T. Ingle, and during such argument climbed the stairs of the gap office and at the entrance of that building he did deliberately and aggressively with force, push Mr Ingle in the region of his chest resulting in Mr Ingle falling to the ground and landing on his back on the floor of the gap office.

When assessing penalty, stewards took into account a recent similar incident involving Mr Boland.

Trainer Mr N. Boland was disqualified for a period of 6 months to commence immediately and to expire on the 3/2/2018. Mr N Boland was advised of his appeal rights.
