Rosehill Gardens Returns In Full Bloom For Spring Racing This Saturday

The Australian Turf Club’s Rosehill Gardens is back in full bloom as it begins a big six weeks of consecutive Saturday meetings and Spring racing.

Along with all the racing action televised live from down south, Rosehill Gardens will usher in Spring with a special Eats at The Gardens food precinct, pop-up bars and live entertainment as part of a nine-race card on the track.

Racegoers are being encouraged to dress in the traditional black and white colours of Derby Day for one of Australian racing’s biggest days.

After a five week break from racing the Rosehill Gardens course proper has undergone a minor renovation ahead of a busy racing schedule.

Gates this Saturday open at 10.45am for ATC Members and 11.00am for General Admission customers, with the first race due to start at midday.

Rosehill Gardens Track Manager Shaun Patterson said the course proper surface had thrived after decent rainfall combined with recent warmer weather.

“We have had 180 millimetres of rain since we last raced which has been perfect for the root growth and recovery of the track,” Mr Patterson said.

“We are sitting in the Good 4 range and even with this warmer weather we have only had to put two millimetres of irrigation on Tuesday.

“I’m confident we can stay in the Good 4 range for the start of Saturday.”

A full track report video with Shaun Patterson recorded on Thursday morning is available here.

Rosehill Gardens also hosts one of its most popular Spring racedays with Girls Day Out on Saturday 10 November.

Tickets pre-purchased at theraces.com.au before Tuesday, November 6 offer up to a 40 per cent discount, with a range of packages and extra entertainment available for the ladies right across the racecourse.

Travel to and from Royal Randwick on Sydney trains, buses, ferries and light rail services is included in pre-purchased general admission tickets, along with ATC Annual Membership cards.

Rosehill Gardens and all ATC racecourses provide free parking and free high capacity WiFi.
