Position Available: Finance & Administration Officer Country Racing

Racing NSW Country provides regulatory and administrative assistance to country race clubs involved in Thoroughbred horse racing within NSW.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a small department which provides assistance to country race clubs and liaises with Racing NSW in the regulation of thoroughbred racing in NSW.

Located in Sydney’s CBD, we are seeking a professionally presented and self-motivated person interested in a pursuing or furthering a career in the thoroughbred racing industry.

The role also involves various aspects of racing administration and as such an understanding of the racing industry is an advantage.

If you are decisive, proactive and self-motivated and have:

- a strong work ethic and the ability to work across numerous aspects of administration

- an understanding of thoroughbred racing concepts and terminology

- IT skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft word Excel

- capable communication skills both oral and written

- a solid understanding of accounting concepts and applications

- a desire to work in a small team environment and to gain a starting position in racing administration

Tertiary qualification or equivalent (with particular reference to Business, Finance or Accounting) is required and salary will be commensurate with experience.
