7. Emballee is an improving metropolitan mare who should take care of what is ordinary opposition, back in quality third-up. Worked home late into a place on the Kensington track last start, and this shapes as an ideal distance peak. 3. Switz closed well into a place third-up when ridden quieter, and can run into the finish again. 1. Silver Tempest is a natural improver at just his second start after a fair effort on debut in the country. Will relish the step up to the mile being by D’argento, and a superior rider goes on. 8. Shadashi draws inside fourth-up, and is trained on the track.

Race 2 - 2:35PM XXXX GOLD 4YO&UP MAIDEN HANDICAP (1100 METRES) |

3. Call Me Sassy, a lightly raced mare by Zoustar, gets her chance to break through at only her second start. Ran home well on debut here behind a smart winner, and can settle closer from this softer draw. 1. Emery is a sparingly-raced mare improving second-up. 2. Bold And Blazen trained here and staying over the distance second-up, and 5. Cathedral Cove, a market watch resuming off two trials; both go through the exotics.

1. Naifah is a promising filly having her first start since early autumn for the new Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr stable at Rosehill. Hit the line in Listed company when resuming in SA before finding the pressure too much in a Saturday Group 3 race at Flemington. Given plenty of time since the move from Victoria, and having won the second of two city trials, she’s ready to reboot with a bang. 2. Sponars is the clear threat after charging home from the back here behind Taxation when fresh, and settles closer this time from a softer draw. Gap to the rest headed by 3. Composed who was right behind Sponars in that Super Maiden when on debut; while at much bigger odds 8. Murphilly resuming with no public trials adds value into trifecta and first fours.

5. Bohemian Art is a lightly raced mare with ability in the Nathan Doyle stable at Newcastle, and the one to beat resuming behind two soft trials. Went close on debut at home before well beaten in her next two on rain-affected ground, suffering a bleeding attack and consequently poor recovery in the first of those runs before spelling. Has reportedly been working well, and finally gets on to a firm track from a low draw. 10. Into Brooklyn is a well-touted stablemate improving in to her second start, and naturally the market will be a big indicator for both. Did some work from a wide draw in a fair debut effort here after being backed from $7.00 into $5.50. Keep safe 3. Coyote second-up and trained on the course; while 7. Koritsi peaks at her third start over 1000m further at good odds.

8. Hayek is a lightly raced speedster, and was strong at both ends when bolting in his maiden first-up at Newcastle as a hot favourite. Well suited again in a weak race, with the early market fancy being preferred at Wednesday’s Warwick Farm meeting. 2. Detendu reloads off a 10 week break and smart trial win; while 5. Inoue is better placed back in this grade second-up. Gap to the rest.

2. Spirit Of Wealth is a good class sprinter seemingly with this at her mercy, returning off a seven week break in fillies and mares grade. Took on Group 2 company as a three-year-old this time last year before a long spell. Was easily run down when resuming in much deeper Saturday company early last month, but has since trialled strongly. Stable has made significant gear changes, and brought her back to a thinner race. 3. Still Alice is tracking towards another win fourth-up, and can run the quinella. 1. Kilonova dropping in grade second-up, and 5. Winner Of Kowloon resuming for a leading metropolitan stable of two improving trials; can fight for the minor money.

Race 7 - 5:40PM RICHMOND CLUB MIDWAY CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1600 METRES) |

1. Perfect Justice is a tough improver, and primed to peak third-up with gear changes, and staying over the mile. Has had two fair efforts back from both off speed and leading when in the market, and this race is a touch thinner. Drawn to get plenty of cover right behind the speed. 5. Channelling is a progressive home track mare also hitting a third-up peak, and was scratched from Warwick Farm on Wednesday to be saved for this. 7. Luna Bay is a filly on the rise who roared home late at Kembla to break through at her second start, but under the odds from this draw. 6. Stage Legend is looking for this longer trip well into her campaign; while 3. Juan Pablo gets a significant jockey change second-up.
