Racing NSW Stewards conducted an inquiry into the training arrangements for the race mare I’lltellyousoon.

Evidence was taken from Stipendiary Steward, Jack Penfold, Owner-trainer Ms. Samantha McDonald and registered owner Craig Duffy.

Owner-trainer Ms. Samantha McDonald pleaded guilty to a charge under AR175 (gg), in that she did provide information in response to Stewards relative to her relationship with Mr Craig Duffy, which she knew to be false and misleading in an attempt to enable I’lltellyousoon to compete in The Darley Stallions Benchmark 65 Handicap, at the Scone race meeting 17th February 2017.

Taking into account all the circumstances, Ms. McDonald’s Owner-trainer permit was suspended for one (1) calendar month to commence immediately and expire 17th March 2017. Ms McDonald was advised that she was allowed 7 days to make any provision necessary for the transfer and care of any horses in her stable.

Ms. McDonald was advised of her appeal rights.
