La Vernazza - Report From Trainer Jamie Richards

Trainer Mr Jamie Richards has reported to Racing NSW Stewards this morning that La Vernazza, an acceptor for the Furious Stakes this Saturday, was found to be lame in the near hind leg following working this morning.

He has advised the filly will be subject to further examination later this morning by his stable veterinarian and will report the results of that examination back to the Stewards, at which point a decision will be made if the filly will run this Saturday.

Should connections elect to start the filly, a veterinary clearance will be required and La Vernazza will be subject to an examination by Racing NSW Veterinarians.
