Kym Healy Appeal

Licensed Trainer Kym Healy lodged an appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by the Stewards under AR178E(1), AR175(l) & AR178AB(1)(a).

On 4 June 2018, Mr Healy was disqualified for 10 months, thus allowing him to reapply for his trainers licence on 4 April 2019.

The penalty was the result of an inquiry into the circumstances requiring the late withdrawal of Aussie Jack from its engagement in the Outback Cup conducted at Broken Hill on 17 March 2018.

On application of the Appellant, which was opposed by the Stewards the Principal Member has refused a Stay of Proceedings.

This appeal was heard on 14 & 15 August 2018 commencing at 9.30am.

The Panel has reserved its decision
