Kembla Grange Preview For Saturday 30th August

Supplied By Illawarra Turf Club

Race 1 - 12:40PM THE PINK FIGHT MIDWAY 3YO MAIDEN HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

1. AUTUMN BLONDE ($1.90 TAB) - She had Trialed twice before she resumed on the Kensington Track last start when she attempted to lead throughout on a Heavy surface. Her effort was acceptable but she will be more suitably placed, making a Provincial debut today. 7. BREEDERS SUN - She attracted support at long odds before she finished unplaced on debut at Newcastle in a Race that has produced strong form. Her effort was better than it appears at face value and she can return as an improved filly after two lead-up Trials. 4. ROYAL CORPORAL - He was presented for the second time in his first campaign when he conceded too great a start over 1150m on the Kensington Track in a Race that involved quick closing sectionals for the Class. Attempting this longer distance can aid his cause. 5. YAKAMOZ - This filly is trained here at Kembla Grange and she will be making her debut after her lead-up Trial here at home earlier in the month when she displayed natural pace. She should not be underestimated over this testing distance at only her first start.

Race 2 - 1:15PM SOUTH PACIFIC ROOF TRUSSES SUPER MAIDEN HANDICAP (1600M)

1. POUR BENN ($5.50 TAB) - His two lead-up Trials were held in June but he didn’t debut until the start of this month when he wasn’t disgraced over 1600m here on a Heavy Track in a Race that’s produced excellent form. He should improve with Blinkers now added to his Gear. 2. SIGMA - He returns to Kembla Grange fifth up in his first campaign. Blinkers were added to his Gear before he was too good for all except Sirius Legend last start at Hawkesbury when the winner needed to record quick closing sectionals to beat him. 4. JAGERBOMB - He makes his Kembla Grange debut after handing in solid efforts so far at Wyong and then at Goulburn. A Gear Change has already been made and he will be competing in Blinkers for the first time. He is another who can improve. 7. COSMIC AVENGER - Blinkers were added to his Gear before he was produced third up in his second preparation when he became unsuited in transit on a Very Heavy surface last start at Newcastle. He stuck to his task in defeat and he is better placed today.

Race 3 - 1:50PM ELDERS REAL ESTATE WOLLONGONG PROVINCIAL C1 HANDICAP (1200M)

10. ROYAL BOMBADIER ($1.95 TAB) - Numerous Gear Changes were made before he handed in a most pleasing effort with Mollie Fitzgerald aboard two starts ago at Gosford. He then beat all except Shaddap last start at Forbes and his most recent effort here was very solid. 3. EAGERLY AWAITS - She was given a Stable Change before she was presented first up last start at Moruya when the Race that she won included Performing Diva who then won on the same track next start. Eagerly Awaits is ready to make her home track debut. 7. LIGHTLY SPARKLED - She’s been given a freshen-up after her gallant performance here at her home base last start on a Heavy Track. She was also an Acceptor for a Nowra Meeting on Tuesday but this Race was preferred. The placement of her Stable must be respected! 5. LA BELLA BONDI - she presents fourth up after competing on Very Heavy surfaces here at her home base and then at Newcastle, during her most recent two starts. She can be forgiven for her unplaced effort last run when she tackled 1400m. She’s better placed now

Race 4 - 2:25PM LEISURE COAST FRUIT MARKET & DELI C1 HANDICAP (1400M)

5. SAMARELLE ($1.80 TAB) - After Trialing twice in June, she made her debut forty-six days ago at Newcastle when she finished her Race off strongly to win. She has Trialed again since at Canterbury and she can already be expected to appreciate a step up from 1200m. 6. TESSY TEE - She presents sixth up but she has been given a freshen-up since she refused to shirk her task in defeat here last start when an early setback needed to be overcome. Her best performance to date was achieved after a very similar break only three starts ago. 1. DAMASCUS CALLING - He out-finished all except the leader/winner at Wyong over 1600m last run. Returning to this more spacious circuit is a plus. 8. BEAUTY DASH - A poor getaway has caused problems in the past but today she returns to Kembla Grange to tackle 1400m for a first time. The trip can suit

Race 5 - 3:00PM CVC LAW & CONVEYANCING COND. BM68 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

5. ORTHIE’S BOYS ($4.60 TAB) - He was presented for the first time since a Stable Change when he was well supported forty-one days ago/Hawkesbury. He was too good for all bar Show County when he beat home two next start winners. He’s proven off a very similar break. 1. C’MON MATE - He was resuming here at his home base two starts ago when his effort was full of merit at double-figure odds with Coriah Keatings aboard. There were then excuses for his unplaced Kensington Track effort and he can regain his best form. 7. WEBEJAMIN - This Hawkesbury trained mare was resuming form her spell when she performed above Market Place expectations at Goulburn last start with Mitchell Bell aboard. She can now be expected to greatly appreciate a distance rise from 1200m second up. 6. SUPER SUGOI - He made a Kembla Grange debut when he kept trying in defeat over 1600m. He was then dominant here over the same trip last run and he can cope with this step back in distance today when he presents after a freshen-up and a Hawkesbury Trial.

Race 6 - 3:35PM BLAQ PROPERTY GROUP BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

2. SIRIUS LEGEND ($2.40 TAB) - He presents third up in his second preparation and he will make his Kembla Grange debut today at his third start since a Stable Change. He overcame an unsuitable run in transit to score last start at Hawkesbury and he has more to offer. 3. EMPIRE OF ART - He hasn’t been to the Races (or the Trials) for seven weeks but unlike most, he should not be underestimated after such a break and his effort last start behind Hooligan Tommy was honest before Hooligan Tommy then won at his following two runs. 1. INNCOURT - This imported very lightly raced five-year-old was presented after a Randwick Trial and a sixty-seven day break when he was far too good for his five opponents last start at Newcastle. Stepping up from 1400m creates scope for him to further progress. 5. BLESSTAS - She had not been to the Races for thirty-two days before she finished unplaced at Hawkesbury last start when she was attempting a distance rise on the day. She can be forgiven for that performance when she returns to her home base this afternoon.

Race 7 - 4:15PM CVC LAW & CONVEYANCING CG&E MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)

14. WEST OF SWINDON ($2.10 TAB) - He begins his third preparation after Trialing twice in July at Rosehill. He has been given a Stable Change since his last start and he will be competing with the aid of a Tongue Tie for the first time. All three starts to date were in Black Type grade! 5. ABOVE THE LAW - Blinkers were already a part of his Gear when he was produced on debut here last start over this trip. His front-running performance was gallant with Zac Wadick aboard. He beat home Powerhouse who then won at Newcastle. 11. RUINATION - He Trialed twice at his home base (Randwick) in July before he also Trialed at home earlier this month and he now makes his debut. He won the third of his three lead-up Trials and he can be expected to appreciate this trip at his first start. 4. PHOENIX LEGEND - He begins his second campaign today and he will do so after a Stable Change on his new home track. He Trialed here earlier in the month and with Blinkers added to his Gear, he can return improved when he presents as a gelding for the first time.

Race 8 - 4:50PM INSIGHT DEVELOPMENT GROUP F&M MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)

2. ARTISTIC VENTURE ($1.40 TAB) - She had Trialed twice at home (Randwick) before she was produced over this distance first up on a Heavy Wyong Track last run. She was beaten at short odds on the day but she has scope to improve, making a Kembla Grange debut. 4. DUNDEEL FLYER - This filly begins her second campaign today after Trialing in late July at Rosehill. Her two efforts before her spell at Goulburn over this distance and then over 1300m at Newcastle were honest and she can cope with this journey first up. 16. DARE TO FLY - After Trialing twice, she resumes here, making her Kembla Grange debut. Ignore her unplaced last run. There were excuses! 5. EDGE OF INFINITY - She Trialed at her Rosehill home base in late July before she also Trialed at Warwick Farm earlier this month. She is ready to make her debut
