Race 3 Number 8 – Faith in Hand: Laid inwards throughout. (Flemington 27/9/17) Race 4 Number 3 – Delightful Feeling: Began awkwardly. (Gold Coast 20/9/17) Race 5 Number 2 – Man of His Word: Laid in badly in the home straight, placing its rider at a disadvantage. (Sunshine Coast 30/9/17) Race 6 Number 7 – Foundation (IRE): Raced keenly through the early stages. Near the 1000m had to check to avoid heels. Rider stated mount was not suited by the slow early tempo, however did state that it was disappointing in the manner in which it finished the race off. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. (Mooney Valley 29/9/17) Race 7 Number 2 – Jungle Edge: Raced keenly passing the 700m when being restrained and racing in restricted room. Continued to race in restricted room approaching the 400m before then having to steady. Steadied at the 100m when tightened for room and continued to be steadied over the concluding stages. (Mooney Valley 29/9/17) Race 7 Number 8 – Derryn: Began awkwardly and was then slow into stride. (Mooney Valley 29/9/17) Race 8 Number 8 – Brave Smash (JPN): Became unbalanced at the 400m when avoiding heels. (Caulfield 23/9/17) Race 9 Number 3 – He’s Our Rokkii (NZ): Rider stated mount would be better suited on a track with more give. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. (Caulfield 1/10/17) Race 9 Number 4 – Star Exhibit: Held up for clear running from the 400m until the 300m. (Mooney Valley 29/9/17) Race 9 Number 11 – Prince Cheri (FR): Trainer advised that from the wide barrier the horse would be ridden back in the field. The horse was ridden accordingly. (Doomben 16/9/17). Race 10 Number 13 – Balancing Act: Taken out off its course approaching the 200m. (Mooney Valley 29/9/17)
