ROSEHILL GARDENS – BEST BET: Race 7 # 7 – WAR ETERNAL
He profiles well for this and follows a similar pattern to last preparation when producing his career peak figure, which lines up well for this event. The gelding has been building towards a win and savaged the line last start, clocking fast closing sectionals. He is suited out to 1400m, brings an all-important race fitness edge over his key rivals and will revel in the conditions. In addition, he maps to have every chance and Jason Collett has ridden him once for a win.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – VALUE BET: Race 9 # 11 – USEAPIN
She's in career-best form racing on rain-affected ground, and her win two back had merit at this track. Happy to forgive her last start when she had the pace/bias against her and ran hidden closing splits. The Chris Waller-trained runner is another galloper with a fitness edge on her side, and she maps to be smothered way doing no work. Further, she has the acceleration/closing speed to absorb the pressure and be in the finish.
ROSEHILL GARDENS – SECTIONAL STAR: Race 6 # 14 – AMUSING
She's an improving mare and expecting her to relish the rise to 1900m for the first time. The four-year-old had every chance last start at this track but bolted in after showing a sharp turn of foot in testing conditions. Further, she went through the line full of energy, and her work past the post had merit. Her sectional profile suggests she'll handle the distance, and James McDonald sticks.
KEMBLA GRANGE – PROVINCIAL PICK: Race 4 # 4 – HAMOON HEROINE
She sets up well, and she can improve sharply second-up, benefiting from race experience. The mare wasn't suited to the sit/sprint race shape on debut and raced greenly but, to her credit, once she built momentum, she hit the line hard, running one of the meeting's quickest final 200m sectionals. Further, a subsequent winner has come out of that event to confirm the form. She profiles to handle the rain-affected ground, and the 1600m looks a plus.
