Fallen Rider Updates (Penza, Ede and Fliedner)
  • Dr Duckworth reports that injured jockey Jeff Penza underwent surgery to his leg yesterday and it all went very well.
  • Dr Duckworth reports that injured apprentice jockey Heni Ede was transferred to Wagga hospital, where she is still waiting for surgery. Her leg is too swollen at this stage and they will reassess tomorrow and possible surgery Friday.
  • Jockey Brett Fliedner was dislodged after his mount stumbled during morning trackwork at Wagga. He is suffering from pain to his left hip area and is being transferred to Wagga Base Hospital.
