Extra Race - TAB Everest Day

TAB Everest day will now feature 10 races with Racing NSW including an additional race to further complement Sydney’s biggest day of racing.

With the inception of The Kosciuszko this year there has been an added focus on country racing so it’s fitting the tenth race, a $100,000 Highway Handicap, celebrates country racing.

The new Highway will be a Class 3 run over 1400m.

“By adding this race to TAB Everest day it is an opportunity for more country owners and trainers to experience Australia’s richest race day at Royal Randwick’’ said Racing NSW CEO Peter V’landys AM.

“As a new race The Kosciuszko has generated tremendous interest in its first year and we want to thank country participants for their support.’’

Over $16.4 million in prizemoney is on offer on TAB Everest day, at Royal Randwick on October 13, highlighted by the world’s richest turf race – The $13m TAB Everest (1200m) – and the $1.3m The Kosciuszko (1200m).

The Group 3 $500,000 Sydney Stakes (1200m), Group 3 $500,000 Craven Plate (2000m) and the $500,000 St Leger Stakes (2600m) add to what is a bumper day of racing.
