The $300,000 Group 2-Darley Missile Stakes provides an early glimpse of Sydney sprint features this Saturday at Royal Randwick.
The race has been won by many top sprinters in the past and is often used as a launching pad for bigger spring events.

Multiple Group winner and dual TAB Everest placegetter Private Eye opens a heavily-backed $3.30-$2.60 TAB favourite in the Darley Missile Stakes for trainer Joe Pride and jockey Nash Rawiller.
The trainer and jockey have combined to win two previous renewals of the race with Eduardo (2020) and Rain Affair (2013).
General Salute trained by Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou with Tim Clark to ride is a well-supported second favourite ($4-$3.70).
Tim Clark has also won the race twice previously with I Am Me (2023) and Captain Bax (2008).
Bjorn Baker’s Robusto with jockey Josh Parr aboard is at $5.50 (out from $4.60).
Saturday’s 10-race card with 132 entries comes just a fortnight before the first Group 1 race of the Sydney 2025/26 season and the running of the $1m Winx Stakes at Royal Randwick.
