Change Of Name For German-Bred Sydney Cup Nomination

A German-bred, UK-raced stallion nominated for the Schweppes Sydney Cup on Day 2 of The Championships at Royal Randwick will race in Australia with a name change.

FANDANGO (Ger) will race in Australia as LORD FANDANGO (Ger) as there is already a horse racing in Australia named Fandango. The Archie Alexander trained 4yo is the winner of two races in the UK from only 10 starts.

Weights for the Schweppes Sydney Cup and The Star Doncaster Mile will be released by Racing NSW Handicappers at 12 noon on Monday (20th February).
