Another Hawkesbury Prizemoney Boost For Ladies Day Spring Feature

On the back of Hawkesbury’s Listed Aristocrat Rowley Mile (won today by short priced favourite Arbeitsam) being given a cash boost to $150,000, Hawkesbury Race Club Chief Executive Greg Rudolph has announced the Listed Lander Toyota Ladies Day Cup (1400m) on Thursday November 9, will also be increased to $150,000,up from $125,000 last year.

Run on VRC Oaks Day and one the provincial club’s biggest race days of the year, the Listed Lander Toyota Ladies Day Cup is ideally placed at the tail end of the Spring Carnival and is sure to attract another strong field. “We are pleased to announce a further increase of prizemoney to $150,000 to one of our feature races of the Spring Carnival and are grateful to Racing NSW for their approval in recognising the day as important to the NSW industry," Hawkesbury Chief Executive Greg Rudolph said.

"We have had a successful last season, including one of our best ever Stand Alone race days in April and hope to capitalise by complementing VRC Oaks Day in the Spring with another strong renewal of the race."

Last year's Cup was won by Famous Seamus, locally trained by Noel Mayfield-Smith, who led in the quinella with Unequivocal.
