All Aged Stakes Prizemoney Now $1.5 million

Racing NSW today announced an increase in prizemoney for the All-Aged Stakes, Group 1, to $1.5 million from $600,000.

The All-Aged Stakes, to be run at Royal Randwick on Saturday 15 April 2023, has been one of the strongest races in the Sydney Autumn Carnival over many years.

“This increase in prizemoney better recognises the strength of the race and its importance in our racing calendar,” said Racing NSW Chairman Mr Russell Balding, AO.

“Racing for $1.5 million in prizemoney also makes it even more attractive for horses from sprinters to milers alike and will be further targeted by trainers at the conclusion of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival,” Mr Balding added.

The All Aged Stakes, run under weight-for-age conditions, has cemented its position in the calendar since first being run at a distance of 1400m in 2004.
