Injured Trackwork Rider Update (11:45am) - Noel Miller (Kempsey, Friday)

Racing NSW Steward Jack Penfold has reported that licensed trackwork rider Noel Miller was dislodged from his mount at Kempsey this morning.

Noel fell awkwardly, landing on his head and is unable to feel his legs. He will be transported to a Sydney hospital for further assessment.

[Update at 11:45am on Friday 15th February]: Noel was further assessed at Port Macquarie Hospital and has sustained a suspected broken neck. Noel has since been flown to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for immediate review. Racing's NSW Dr Duckworth will be in contact with the hospital and advise further regarding his condition when more is known. Noel’s partner Melonie and mother Sharon are flying to Sydney.
