Employment Opportunity - Raceday Operational Manager (Tuncurry)

Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club is looking for a Raceday Operational Manager.

This position requires strong organisational leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure the seamless and safe operation of the race meeting.

You will work closely with the Board, raceday officials and volunteers to create an exceptional experience for patrons. This is a part-time position.

The successful candidate will be competent in the following:

• Outstanding organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
• A positive, can-do attitude and hands-on approach.
• Able to work autonomously and be proactive.
• Industry knowledge preferable but not essential.

The successful candidate will report to the Board and would be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Ensure the effective running of each raceday by being in contact with staff and provide feedback to the Board on any operational deficiencies and any process improvement.
• Ensure the Run Sheet/Job tasks are completed prior to and post-raceday is adhered to.
• Manage a variety of communications such as social media, email, phone, etc.
• Control and organise all bookings for race meetings and future events for the pavilion and gazebos, whilst at all times guaranteeing that the patrons and client’s expectations are met.
• Oversee the setup and preparation of the raceday
