Vale Mr Nigel Tolhurst (Wellington)

It is with great sadness that Wellington Race Club advised the passing of one of their most loyal supporters and Track Maintenance Assistant, Nigel Tolhurst on Monday (2nd October) following a short battle with cancer.

Nigel, 60, was Clerk of the Scales at Wellington and also other Central & Western Racetracks for the past 33 years.

The Club said: “Nigel will be sorely missed by race club officials, jockeys, trainers and Racing NSW."

Nigel’s funeral service (organised by Logues of Wellington) will be held at Wellington Racecourse at 11:30am on Monday, 9th October 2023.

Nigel leaves behind his wife Sharon, daughter Jasmine, son Jake and five grandchildren.
