The 'City Slick' And The 'Quick' At Goulburn

Ten days ago at Goulburn city trainers proved too slick, banking the major prizemoney on offer in six of the seven races.

Whilst this Sunday's tablelands meeting is not as heavily laced with 'city slick' there will still be plenty of 'quick' competition.

The meeting will showcase the full spectrum of city, provincial and country stables with lungs and legs meeting to decide bragging rights on the track.

There are another seven winners to be found at Goulburn this Sunday with 89 acceptors across seven races. Here's a few thoughts to help punters find a weekend winner at the tablelands track.

Race 1 - GOULBURN MULWAREE COUNCIL CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Could easily be a mid-week city maiden with eight of the ten acceptors venturing out of their city digs in search of win number one. 'DUTY' the obvious ANZAC themed tip!

Race 2 TASH BURLEIGH RACING F&M BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Plenty of in-form types with four last start winners and two last start runner ups engaged. ROSEBANK the most consistent performer in this line up.

Race 3 -JAN FENTON CELEBRANT MAIDEN PLATE (1600 METRES)
A mile on offer at the big tablelands track for those horses looking for more ground. Reigning Goulburn jockey of the year Jay Ford takes the reins on in form galloper ANY WISH but CHARIOTS OF FIRE and TAMARIN FALLS look big threats.

Race 4 -DOYLES ON THE BEACH CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Good barriers a bonus at the 1200m starting position. Expect the Widdup / Jennings combination to be hard to beat with TRENGGANU first up whilst JOY AND MIRTH really caught the eye resuming and is drawn well.

Race 5 - HIBERNIAN HOTEL BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
Blink and you'll miss it type of trip. COCK MATCH could be ready to deliver for the in-form Danny Williams stable but expect NIEWAND (Maher / Eustace) to be strong in the market.

Race 6 - STORAGE KING GOULBURN F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)
Worth following any TAB Market moves in a maiden without a lot of exposed form. MISS KEIRA looks to find a suitable race resuming with the Jason Coyle/ Kathy O'Hara partnership in play.

Race 7 - KILPATRICK HOLDINGS CG&E BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
NO EMOTION (Natalie Jarvis) continues to race well with TWILIGHT SUN (Bjorn Baker Racing) capable of sharp improvement.

On the back of some glorious autumn weather in recent weeks Goulburn's track is currently rated a Good 4 with the first race is timed to go at 12.50pm on Sunday.
