Racing Mates To Celebrate 'Lunch With The Stars' At Wagga

Racing industry participants in the Southern Districts are invited to attend the next Racing Mates BBQ ‘Get-Together’ which coincides with Murrumbidgee Turf Club’s 150-Year Gold Cup Carnival celebration launch on Sunday April 2nd.

Racing Mates ambassador Pat Webster will be trackside to host the BBQ, which promotes ‘mates looking out for mates’.

“Racing Mates are proud to be returning to Wagga and catching up with Southern Districts racing participants,” Webster said.

The BBQ get-together will be hosted in the raceday stalls area, prior to raceday, with participants encouraged to stop for ‘a bite and chat.’

“Our gatherings are all about bringing the racing community together for a chat and more importantly, getting people to chat to each other,” Webster said.

“There is nothing better than talking to someone who understands where you're coming from.”

The Wagga race meeting will also feature a 'Lunch with The Stars' to kick-start the MTC’s Carnival celebrations with guest speakers the 'Baroness of Bombala' Barbara Joseph, top jockey Danny Beasley and Racing Mates ambassador Pat Webster.
