Track Soft 5 & rail out 3m from 1000m to 380m; Cutaway Applies

Race 1 - 12:15PM BROULEE BREWHOUSE CLASS 1 HANDICAP (930 METRES)

2. Lombardi Lass is a lightly raced mare well placed to return with a bang AT only her third start. Dropped out from near the speed on debut before appreciated firmer footing next start and broke her maiden with something in hand. No public trials, but bound to come to hand, and gets first use of the inside. 1. Hope And Glory is an improving & also lightly raced Goulburn rival who will also relish getting on to a drier track third-up in his first full prep. 4. Imabarbiegirl will likely drift well back over this flying distance, but she’s had a month between runs, and will be doing her best work late. 5. Giza has shown steady improvement this prep, although a query dropping back to this short trip. 7. Commandero who is trained on the track can run in to the minor money with blinkers back on.

How to play it: Lombardi Lass to win

Race 2 - 12:50PM FOXDOG DISTILLERY BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP (1660 METRES)

1. This Is The Moment is very honest, and finds an ideal race over a similar distance coming back from BM 68 provincial level where he ran home well behind a strong winner. Best form is on the drier tracks, and despite a significant weight rise returning to country level, this is a very moderate line-up for an 82-rated field. 2. Stonechat is ready to peak third-up over more ground and carrying 4.5kg less after running home okay in a BM 74 at this track. 6. Field Marshal rises in grade, but gets some much needed gear changes going up in distance. 5. Ferrari Man is also back up significantly in class, but drawn okay and gets a big weight drop; while 8. Bonus Tempus trained at the track and drawn inside, heads the rest.

How to play it: This Is The Moment to win

Race 3 - 1:25PM RED ROSE CAFE MORUYA MAIDEN PLATE (1660 METRES)

12. Think I Do is yet another Canberra visitor representing terrific value third-up in a set weights race, with blinkers going on, and on an eight day back-up. Didn’t do much from well back when resuming here; but found the line better at Narrandera, and naturally being by So You Think out of an Elvstroem mare, the longer the trips get the better off she is. 7. Bardette can bounce back from a flop here second-up when backed from $3.50 into $2.90. Has enough ability despite drawing , and a firmer surface is also in her favour. 1. Darken is an improver coming back in distance deep into the prep, and will likely jump favourite in what is a wide but weak race. 2. Kurrajong up in distance, and locally trained 9. I Doubt It improving fourth-up from a low draw; can both add value into all exotic plays. Gap to the rest.

How to play it: Think I Do to win

Race 4 - 2:05PM JJ'S AT THE MARINA BATEMANS BAY MAIDEN PLATE (1310 METRES)

9. Beauty Dash is an emerging mare who can break through at her fourth start. Will likely be forced a long way back from the wide barrier, but she’s run home late into a place in her last couple, and should get more speed on here to allow her to work into the race a little earlier. 13. Wolf Island is a Canberra two-year-old resuming as gelding for just his second start, so the market will be a big indicator. 3. Brannum is also a market watch resuming for only his third start from a low draw for another leading country stable. 6. McTominay is in the mix at his fifth start, having beaten all bar the winner in his last two, and gets some weight relief. 7. Shoreman is over the odds fourth-up getting back on turf.

How to play it: Beauty Dash to win

Race 5 - 2:40PM MOGO BREW CREW MAIDEN HANDICAP (1020 METRES)

10. Miss Steffi is a Kembla-based and well-named two-year-old filly by Graff having her first start behind two trials. Will be better over further, but from an ideal draw where she can be tucked away with cover, only needs a clear crack at them over the final 300m. Over the odds for a very shrewd stable. 11. Spice Baby is another juvenile filly from Kembla on debut who draws the fence, and has been fitted with two solid and recent trials. 1. Caravanserai is an ex-Godolphin three-year-old having his first run for the new Canberra stable off a six month spell. Lightly raced and drawn wide, but has ability. 6. Molteuno can improve sharply at her second outing from a softer draw. 9. Brutal Belle can run into the minor money second-up. Gap to the rest.

How to play it: Miss Steffi to win

Race 6 - 3:15PM MORUYA GOLF CLUB CHINESE RESTAURANT CLASS 3 (1020 METRES)

6. Getty is another one from Canberra primed to strike fresh for the in-form Matthew Kelley stable in what is another very open race. Can utilise his tactical speed from a low draw, and and comes to hand quickly. Handles all going. 3. Scissor Me Timbers, a capable and locally trained four-year-old, will be hard to hold out second-up with the blinkers added after doing his best work late here in a deeper BM 66 10 days ago. 1. Perigean is over the odds second-up with a gear change, and coming back from that same race as the former. Keep safe 8. Rippana despite a class rise second-up, with a serious drop in weight after the claim. 4. Acheson dropping back from a much tougher CL3 Highway at Randwick can figure in the minor money; while 5. Ditterich down in weight second-up adds value into trifecta and first four plays.

How to play it: Getty to win

Race 7 - 3:50PM MORUYA ICE CREAMERY BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1210 METRES)

6. Teepee Princess is a home track filly primed to make it two straight to start her career reloading from an upset maiden win at at big odds. Market got it wrong last time, and given she’s bred to get much further, only needs a fair run from a middle gate to finish stronger again. 3. Dame Annie is a progressive metropolitan mare coming off first-up win in heavy going against weaker opposition. 2. Lady Revolution is a betting watch first-up for four months behind a quiet trial. 5. Gooloo Bucky is progressive enough coming off a dominant second-up maiden win at this track 10 days ago. 4. Deni Gal is each-way value back in grade from the inside draw.

How to play it: Teepee Princess to win

Race 8 - 4:25PM PICKLED OCTOPUS, TUROSS BM58 HANDICAP (1435 METRES)

3. Dolzino is a locally-trained and improving four-year-old who shapes ideally third-up coming back from a much tougher CL3 Highway at Rosehill where he made up late ground. Settles closer in the run over more ground and from a more economical draw, and only needs a clear look at them from the top of the straight to claim a second career win. 2. Fire And Gemstone is over the mark from a handy draw after missing by under a length third-up here 24 days ago when freshened. 6. Thoughtful can run into the minor money third-up with the blinkers removed; while 9. Crazy Atom improves with blinkers going on.

How to play it: Dolzino to win

BEST BETS:
R1 2. LOMBARDI LASS
R8 3. DOLZINO

BEST VALUE:
R6 6. GETTY
