Narrandera Locks In Winter Race Dates & Prizemoney Increase

Narrandera Race Club (NRC) is pleased to announce exciting news ahead of their highly anticipated 2025 racing season.

Following back-to-back bumper seasons in 2023 and 2024, along with plenty of hard work in the background, NRC can finally announce that the 2025 Community Bank Narrandera Cup will carry a prizemoney purse of $70,000, which is easily the highest amount of money ever on offer for a race conducted in Narrandera.

Now one of a handful of races in the Southern Districts with prizemoney of $70,000 or more, NRC appreciates the opportunity to maintain the ongoing prestige of the Racing NSW-supported event.

The race also qualifies the winner and runner-up for the $3 million Big Dance and $750,000 Little Dance run at Royal Randwick in November.

The Narrandera Cup meeting scheduled for Sunday 13 July will feature eight races and offer a record $310,000 prizemoney.

Planning is already underway for the big day which will be complemented by the Narrandera Cup Calcutta, scheduled for Saturday 12 July.

NRC has also announced supporting race dates ahead of a massive 2025.

The time-honoured LW Peacock Memorial meeting will kick things off on Saturday 14 June, while the TC Lee Memorial meeting rounds out the season on Saturday 16 August.

In the meantime, the Club's focus is on helping Ardlethan picnic races and their upcoming meeting scheduled for Narrandera Racecourse on Saturday 22 March.

Ardlethan Picnic Racing Club will conduct the meeting and more information will be available shortly on the Ardlethan picnic racing socials.
