Race 1 - 12:55PM MUDGEE LADIES DAY MAIDEN PLATE (1400 METRES) |

6. Viktor has shown his share of talent in his career with three placings from seven starts. He was beaten just over one and a half lengths last time out when fifth at Canterbury and only needs to run up to that effort in order to be hard to hold out here. 2. Dreymon was placed at Tamworth three starts ago and has been just behind the placings in both runs since then. He can get into the placings again here. 7. Hidden Mogul was placed at Moruya at her latest start and should figure in the minor money again, while 4. Prizes Galore was midfield here last time out and could sneak into the money.
How to play it: Viktor WIN.
Race 2 - 1:30PM XXXX GOLD SILVER GOBLET PREVIEW - 2YO HANDICAP (1100 METRES) |

5. Tigletta had two solid trials before debuting with a strong second at Nowra behind Joyrider. She’s drawn wide here but has the pace to take up a prominent position and taken plenty of running down. 1. Tom Vegas was big odds when on debut but did the job well to score a win at Bathurst. He can run well again here. 3. Hammoon Sensation has had a trial leading into this debut and was close-up in that when beaten less than a length. 6. A Bar In Paris resumed from a spell with a second at this track and she should run well again with a repeat of that.
How to play it: Tigletta WIN.
Race 3 - 2:05PM KRISTIE’S BOUTIQUE BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (2000 METRES) |
---|
2. Rufus Winright did the job well to score a win at Dubbo at big odds two starts ago and then ran well enough again when a last start third at Bathurst. He’s drawn the rails alley here and should get the run of the race and be hard to hold out. 5. Wolf Club also won at Dubbo two runs back before finishing fifth in the same event Rufus Winright contested last time out. He can figure prominently up to this distance. 8. Hideyo was placed behind Wolf Club at Dubbo before a last start sixth at Narromine when not beaten too far. 10. Ready For Lift Off is a last start winner that could run into the minor money in his current form.
How to play it: Rufus Winright WIN.
Race 4 - 2:40PM YVES PREMIUM CUVEE MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES) |
---|
15. Four Degrees had a couple of trials before debuting at huge odds with an eighth at Wyong in December. He resumes here on the back of another two trials, and he’s finished second in each of them, the latest being at Wyong. He’s drawn well here and can return to racing in winning form. 4. Carrick resumed from a spell with a good second at Bathurst and looks set to run well again here with a repeat of that effort. 2. Rusty Rebel is on debut but has had a number of trials and a bold showing is on the cards. 5. Casino Dallas has been safely held in two runs to date but is capable of improving.
How to play it: Four Degrees EACH WAY.
Race 5 - 3:20PM GOOREE PARK BENCHMARK 82 HANDICAP (1400 METRES) |
---|
1. Lockdown Gamble is resuming from a spell here with a big weight, but he is the class runner of the race and is w two-time winner when fresh. He was placed in the Narromine Cup before a midfield effort in the Country Classic at Rosehill, then ran third in the Mudgee Cup in February before having a break. 3. Smart Shot has been racing well with a win at Tamworth two starts ago. 4. Athena’s Lad ran well when resuming at Narromine and strips fitter for this, while 6. Stratified wasn’t beaten far when a last start fourth at Tamworth and warrants respect in this.
How to play it: Lockdown Gamble WIN.
Race 6 - 4:00PM THE OASIS MUDGEE CLASS 3 HANDICAP (1100 METRES) |
---|
3. Deion is building a solid record with three wins from 12 starts. He led and fought on well to score a last start victory at this track and can take plenty of running down again. 2. Prince Of Sepang is a last start winner in easier grade that also managed to score at Coonamble three starts ago. He is racing well enough to give this a shake. 1. Always In resumed from a long spell with a solid fourth at Bathurst and should be better for that hitout. 4. Miss Rebel ran well in a Highway event at Randwick last time out and looks suited against these.
How to play it: Deion WIN.
Race 7 - 4:40PM MUDGEE FLORIST CLASS 2 HANDICAP (1400 METRES) |
---|
4. Podcast is lightly raced with just the six starts to her name, but she has won two of them including a last start success at Narromine when hitting the line well from back in the field. She looks to have the ability to go on with the job here. 1. Mulvader was second-up from a spell when a last start fourth at Bathurst. He has the ability to perform well against this company. 2. Never A Doubt returns from a freshen-up here for a new stable and is a last start winner at Kyneton in March. 5. Killer Kerr was midfield at Gosford last time out and can show up against these on her best form. 11. Never Bird wasn’t beaten far at Bathurst when last produced and a placing in this company wouldn’t surprise.
How to play it: Podcast WIN.
Best Bets:
Race 5 (1) Lockdown Gamble.
Race 7 (4) Podcast.
