Jackson Searle Closes In On The Leader In Rising Star Series

The Rising Star Series trophy is within sight for apprentice Jackson Searle after the 18-year-old won Heat 12 at Grafton today.

Searle celebrated his first victory in the series with the Greg Howells-trained Ultimate Man ($6), defeating Casey Waddell on Terriius ($10) and Cejay Graham (Flying Pretty, $4.20 favourite).

Boasting 19 competition points, Searle has climbed to second spot on the ladder behind Bailey Wheeler (21pts).

The Kensington Track will host Heat 13 tomorrow (February 2nd) with remaining heats scheduled for Hawkesbury (Feb 8), Wyong (Feb 15) and Goulburn (Feb 17).
