UPDATE 1:59pm Wednesday, 6th December: Daniel Northey's mother has reported that Daniel has suffered a fractured pelvis and some internal injuries after this morning's barrier incident at Scone. Daniel will be operated on this afternoon and is expected to be in John Hunter Hospital for at least a week.

Jockey Daniel Northey was jumping a horse out of the barriers for trainer Rod Northam at Scone this morning, when his mount became fractious and ended up rearing over on top of him. He has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital at Newcastle with a suspected pelvis injury. His NOK has been notified.
