Injured Rider Update - Anthony Cavallo (Wellington, 7th May)

Jockey Anthony Cavallo was dislodged from his mount Paziah during the running of Race 5 at Wellington on Tuesday, 7th May 2024.

[Update at 10am on Tuesday 21st May]: Anthony’s shoulder surgery went well yesterday and he is likely to be discharged from hospital on Wednesday or Thursday.

[Update at 9am on Monday 20th May]: Anthony will be undergoing surgery for his shoulder by Dr Duckworth today.

[Update at 9:20am on Thursday 16th May]: Anthony underwent spinal surgery two days ago in hospital and is recovering. Anthony will be in a neck brace for six weeks and also has a clavicle fracture that will be fixed by Dr Duckworth.
