Injured Jockey Update - Jess Taylor

Jockey Jess Taylor was injured while riding one of her horses at her property in Pheasants Nest.

[Update on Friday 31st July]: Dr Duckworth reports that Jess is still in Liverpool Hospital but improving every day. She has a transverse process fracture of L2 and L3 in her lumbar spine that won't need surgery, and these will slowly get better with time. Jess has a liver laceration that will also improve with rest. She is slowly mobilising and hopefully will be discharged from hospital in the next few days.

[Update at 7am on Thursday]: Racing NSW's Dr. Duckworth reports that Jess was admitted to Liverpool Hospital ICU unit overnight and is in a stable condition.

Jess has some rib fractures, a liver laceration and L1,2 and L3 spine fractures. These fractures are minimal and don't require surgery.
