Gallopers Make Tracks Over The Range To Goulburn (Fri)

With plenty of wet tracks this side of the ranges at present, Goulburn will offer something in the Soft 6 to Soft 5 range for what looks a strong eight-race card on Friday. Here's a quick 'range' over the form for punters keen to head into the weekend with a winner or two under their belt.

Race 1 (GOULBURN EXPRESS FREIGHT BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP, 1600m): Isadora Twinkle is a great chance of sparking back-to-back wins in similar grade and soft conditions. Rises 2kg but not facing anything deeper. Topweight Hurricane Harbour strips fitter second-up whilst Outahand is a genuine threat for the John Bateman yard back to home surrounds.

Race 2 (DAVID ALT ELECTRICAL MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1600m): Handy maiden over a mile with plenty of city chic. Enduring Night rattled home at this venue first-up and the extra trip looks ideal for the enduring Jason Coyle/Jess Taylor combination. Ausbred Lór was minor placed resuming whilst Costa Zou and Mr Resilient should have strong presence in the market.

Race 3 (JCF CONTRACTING CLASS 2 HANDICAP, 1000m): Slick tempo expected and top weight Dizzy Miss Lizzy can piggy back that. Stylish first up effort at Canberra and handles all conditions. Up and coming Giordano a genuine on pace threat whilst Nobody’s Puppet is a proven short course horse.

Race 4 (ELECTEL SERVICES MAIDEN PLATE, 1000m): Staying in sprint mode and the David Pfeiffer-coached 2YO filly Blossom Star looks bang on target to breakthrough. Has been close-up in two handy races this time in and can overcome a poor draw. Market watch on Seberton who has trialled up well for this whilst Aviat Cavall finds a friendly draw to debut from.

Race 5 (KEL CAMPBELL FUEL BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP, 2140m): Decent staying line up in a real oxygen sapper. Eugenio to relish the drop back in grade and gets conditions to suit. Bacinblac has been nursed up to this trip for the first time, running on well at her past two. Seporto looks weighted to his best whilst Confidential could be the quaddie saver.

Race 6 (JEWELL BUILDERS BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP, 1300m): My Blue Jeans continues to fit punters well with top-three finishes at his past four; hard fit on his home track. Consistent Favra is suited at this trip and can figure strongly despite a weight rise. Spectre loves this track and is the hard finisher in the race. Vee Eight a genuine smoky second-up.

Race 7 (GOULBURN MARKETPLACE MAIDEN HANDICAP, 1300m): Debasement can rise another notch after two top four results to date. Dicey draw but must consider. Team Hawkes finds a nice race for Delector first-up. Placed in two of three to date and was a recent trial winner. Toscanini well worth another chance with added fitness.

Race 8 (BC TRAINING CLASS 1 HANDICAP, 1200m): Hot last leg of the quaddie with six last start winners accepted. Duchess Marizza did what few do by winning on debut and can measure up in a genuine class one. Temple Run is drawn poorly but has some handy form references and gets back in class. Kiwi import Targarian is one from one and looks competitive first-up off two smart trial efforts.
