Employment Opportunity: Secretary/Manager (Armidale Jockey Club) - Closes TODAY

Armidale Jockey Club is currently seeking applications for the position of Secretary/Manager.

The Club is a large Country NSW Race Club conducting 12 Thoroughbred race meetings each year as well as hosting a variety of functions and corporate and social events at the racecourse.

The Secretary/Manager position incorporates responsibility for all aspects of the club’s operations.

The key responsibilities extend to:

  • Business planning and development – working with the Armidale Jockey Club Board to manage the Club's core business activities
  • Maintain and elevate community, membership, stakeholder and industry participant relationships
  • Sales, marketing and business development
  • Raceday and function event management
  • Budget preparation, financial analysis and reporting
  • Liaising with the governing body
  • The supervision of Armidale Jockey Club staff including the track maintenance team, hospitality staff and raceday team
  • MYOB processing and payroll

The successful applicant will need to possess extensive leadership, communication, organisational, financial and management skills.
