Employment Opportunity - Race Club Secretary (Gundagai)

Gundagai-Adelong Jockey Club seeks a dedicated individual to serve as Race Club Secretary.

Reporting directly to the Gundagai-Adelong Jockey Club Committee, the successful candidate will oversee the management of the Club, including all racing and training activities, events, and functions.

This role requires strong organisational leadership, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of race meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Exceptional organisation, communication and public relation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude and hands-on approach.
• Able to work autonomously and be proactive.
• Oversee raceday logistics and implement a comprehensive raceday checklist.
• Preferred: Industry knowledge, though not mandatory.

Additional Duties

• Manage various communication channels including social media, email, and phone.
• Handle race meeting enquiries and bookings, ensuring exceptional service to stakeholders, members and racegoers.

Position Details

• Part-time position.
• Weekend availability required to facilitate race meetings.
• Gundagai-Adelong Jockey Club conducts seven race meetings annually.
