Employment Opportunity – Executive Officer (Moruya Jockey Club)

The Club is a leading Racing NSW Country Category B Club, conducting 13 Thoroughbred race meetings annually.

The Club also operates Moruya Racecourse as a training centre for approximately 25 trainers and 100 racehorses and conducts non-racing functions. It has a fine reputation in facilitating fundraising for Eurobodalla organisations.

The successful applicant will manage all aspects of business operations and develop plans to grow the business.

The Executive Officer (EO) will maintain the highest level of Health and Safety standards for staff, patrons and all industry participants using the racecourse. As the EO you will work with, and be responsible to, the Board of Moruya Jockey Club.

The successful applicant will have excellent leadership, communication and management skills and have a knowledge of, and genuine interest in, Thoroughbred racing.

They will be required to create excellent working relationships with a wide range of parties including Racing NSW, industry participants, members, sponsors and patrons.

The EO will be expected to increase the generation of non-racing revenue by encouraging the use of Club facilities by businesses, individuals and community groups. A remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
