Gilgandra trainer Kieren Hazelton and jockey Leandro Ribeiro starred at the annual Bligh picnic races run at Mudgee last Saturday.
Hazelton landed a winning double in the first two races with Mean Girls (Ricky Blewitt, $2.20) and Lockdown Lad (Paul Zerafa, $19).
Ribeiro's double came via the wins of Avoid Me ($2.70) and Allande ($2.60), the latter taking out the feature race the Bligh Amateur Picnic Race Club Cup (1850m).
The Connie Greg-trained Allande earned 10 points for the victory in the NSW Picnic Champion Series and she moves up to sixth position with her stablemates Billy Bent Ear and Blackhill Kitty leading the table on 41 points.
In fact the Greig stable is powering along with nine of the first 11 horses on the point score being trained from the Dubbo establishment.
The next chance to earn points will be at TALMOI PICNICS on Saturday 21st June.
