Strong Nominations For Evergreen Turf Ladies Day (Hawkesbury)

Hawkesbury Race Club has received strong nominations for their newly scheduled Evergreen Turf Ladies Day this Saturday (8th November), with 148 horses nominated including 26 nominations in the $200,000 Listed-Evergreen Turf Ladies Day Cup (1500m).

This year’s Evergreen Turf Ladies Day will be run for the first time on a Saturday, and the reaction from the local community has been overwhelming.

“We have been thrilled with the response we have had to this Saturday’s event, with all pre-paid hospitality sold out over a month ago,” said Hawkesbury Race Club's CEO, James Heddo.

“We are prepared for a massive general admission attendance, who will enjoy plenty of action both on and off the track including the much-anticipated Fashions on the Field competition with some great prizes on offer.

“Additionally, we have popular local clairvoyant June Lorraine available to perform some free readings from 12 noon onwards.

“The track is currently rated a Soft 7 after a total of 21 mils of rain in the last seven days, and with a much-improved forecast for the rest of the week, I am confident that the track will continue to improve.”

By moving the Evergreen Turf Ladies Day to a Saturday, the Club aims to make this event a spectacular occasion which complements their other Saturday racing events during the year.

These include Groove on the Grass raceday in March, Hawkesbury Cup Day in May and Country Music raceday in September each year.

Gates open at 11am and the first race is scheduled for 12.45pm. Visit - hawkesburyraceclub.com.au
