Another Plan Strides To Lead In Picnic Champion Series

Nyngan-trained galloper Another Plan has moved to the lead in the NSW Picnic Champion Series point score following another victory at Moree last Saturday.

Another Plan (Wayne Wheatley, $4) backed up his win in the Narromine Picnic Trophy on May 16 with another gritty win in the Mallawa Picnic Trophy (1600m) run at Moree.

He defeated Crystal Billy (Ashley Boyd, $3.50) and Disgraceful (Brent Evans, $4.40).

Another Plan is prepared by trainer Garry Bignell and has now won nine of his 33 starts.

The six-year-old sits on 25 points for the NSW Picnic Champion Series, four points clear of Hokkaido and Rogue Runner.

Among the others to pick up valuable points in the picnic series at Moree were Beacon (7 points), He's Our Toy Boy (7), Policy (5), Mymill (5), I Am Dynamic (4), Crystal Billy (4), Master Cramsie (4), Moment of Hope (3), Blue Channel (3), About Time (3), Grass Cutter (2), Drummed Out (2), What Diddy Say (1),  and Pullman Brown (1).
