Kembla Grange Preview For Saturday 11th October

Supplied By Illawarra Turf Club

Race 1 - 1:30PM CBC/EDMUND RICE COLLEGE PROVINCIAL C1 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

2. GREYT THINKER - He was strongly supported before he was produced second up from a long spell (thirty-nine weeks) when he scored with authority last start at Hawkesbury. He now returns to home base with more to offer. 1. EAGLES BEWARE - This Hawkesbury trained four-year-old now begins a second campaign. He was given two Trials last month and he will be competing with a Gear Change made (Tongue Tie On). He overcame trouble to win at an only earlier attempt over 1200m. 8. ROYAL BOMBADIER - He did all but win when he was presented on this track and over this distance two starts ago with Mollie Fitzgerald aboard and he should be forgiven for an unplaced subsequent effort here/1200m when he endured a tough run. 5. NANTUCKET ISLAND - She will also resume today after Trialing twice in September. She finished unplaced at her Hawkesbury home base when she was produced first up last preparation but a Post-Race issue was detected. The effort must be overlooked.

Race 2 - 2:05PM BROTHER C V BELL CG&E MAIDEN HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

1. WAEREA - He was conceding Race-day experience and Race-day fitness to Southern Prince when he was far too good for the remainder of his opposition when he was produced on debut here last start. Natural improvement can be expected now at his second start. 6. SWING STATE - He was produced on debut here two weeks ago when he finished unplaced over 1400m but he should not be harshly judged for his performance after he did become unsuited in transit on the day. He should make natural improvement today. 3. SUPER SCOTCH - He was given a spell after Trialing twice back in Jume. Two subsequent Trials in September at his Randwick home base now have him well prepared to make his debut and unlike some, he can cope over this testing trip at his first start. 2. SAVVY SPY - He was also an Acceptor for Race Four but this Race was chosen as his best target. He is trained at Randwick where he was given two Trials last month. He is suitably placed in this Class on debut, aided by the Claim for Zac Wadick.

Race 3 - 2:40PM MISS KATHLEEN MCGUINNESS F&M MAIDEN HANDICAP (1500 METRES)

9. BONDI BLOSSOM - Blinkers were added to her Gear before she handed in a very honest front-running effort in defeat second up at her Hawkesbury home base. She was too good for all except Greyt Thinker. She’s now more than ready to make a Kembla Grange debut. 2. BELLA WAHINE - She will present Race-fitter today. She was produced after an almost eleven week break when she didn’t finish far away from Panova last start at Warwick Farm before Panova was responsible for a solid effort on the Kensington Track three days ago. 3. LIKE ANYTHING - This Randwick trained filly was spelled after an unplaced effort at Rosehill which was better than it appears at face value and she resumes today after two recent Trials at home. She can now return to the Races as an improved three-year-old. 6. MADE IN ITALY - She was produced on debut on this track two weeks ago over 1400m when she became most unsuited in transit after drawing the widest Barrier in a Race that was not run to suit her. She clearly has scope to improve today over this slightly longer distance.

Race 4 - 3:20PM MASTERS OF THEIR CRAFT SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1300 METRES)

1. CITY GOLD FIELD - He returned to Kembla Grange second up last start when he was presented after a twenty-one day break. He refused to shirk his task in defeat over 1400m and attempting a slight switch back in distance can now be regarded as a plus. 10. LOVE RUSTLER - this Randwick trained filly was given two Trials in September at her home base. She has enough natural pace to settle much closer than she did in her latest Trial and Gear Changes have been made since that Trial. This distance suits on debut. 4. ZSA ZSA - After Trialing last month at her Randwick home base and at Rosehill, she now begins a second campaign with this trip ideal. 5. ARISTOCRAT - He also resumes after two Trials in September at home (Randwick). He will be competing as a gelding for a first time and this Class suits.

Race 5 - 3:55PM CBC/ERC TEAM OF THE CENTURY CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)

7. SOUTHERN PRINCE - He was making his Kembla Grange debut when he was produced over 1400m last start with Mollie Fitzgeral aboard. He was competing as a gelding for the first time and he hit the line strongly to win. He’s now suited over 1600m. 1. OMNIC - He has not been to the Races for thirty days but in his case, there is no cause for concern. One of his better efforts so far was achieved after a twenty-seven day break at Randwick when he was competing over this trip in a Race that produced strong form. 2. DORADUS - This Randwick trained lightly raced gelding makes his Kembla Grange debut. His second up effort Newcastle effort last run within this distance range was even better than it appears on paper. He was a winner at his only third up attempt so far. 5. NAUGHTY SORT - She was also an Acceptor for the Queanbeyan Meeting to be held tomorrow but this Race at her home base was preferred. She overcame a problem to open her account first up here last run. She now presents Race-fitter.

Race 6 - 4:35PM PETER MCGOVERN PRINCIPAL INGLIS XTRA MIDWAY MAIDEN (1200M)

9. FULLALOVE - She raced greenly under pressure on debut last start/Newcastle when she was still beat all except Luskintyre. Finishing Seventh of the Eight runners is her Race was Whil To Win who was then dominant/Newcastle in Blinkers for a first time. 1. EVERYBODY RISE - He has only been produced here once and his effort was solid at his second start in his first campaign with Mitchell Bell aboard in a Race that produced strong form. He must be forgiven for an unplaced latest Hawkesbury effort. There were excuses. 7. THE PROSPECT - He Trialed in January and then again in May. He now makes his debut after a Stable Change and much more recent Trials at home/Wyong and then at Newcastle. He was withdrawn from the Hawkesbury Thursday Meeting with this Race preferred. 4. C’MON FLYER - Brock Ryan was aboard when he Trialed last month here at his home base and then again at Goulburn in a Trial that has already produced solid form. He now makes a Race-day debut over a journey that should be ideal at his first attempt.

Race 7 - 5:15PM GAMBLE LAW-CLASS OF 2011 CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

6. ALL THE WAY MAE - She was spelled after she was dominant on debut at Newcastle and she should not be harshly judged for an unplaced first up performance when she was making her home track debut here over this trip last start. There were genuine excuses. 3. MISSIE LEE - This Hawkesbury trained lightly raced mare was making her Kembla Grange debut when she was produced second up over this distance last start. She handed in quick closing sectionals for the Class to score and she should have more to offer today. 1. SOCIABLE - He was produced after a Stable Change and two Gosford Trials when he resumed from a long spell here last start. He refused to shirk his task in defeat after he struck traffic problems. He will only now present Race-fitter with that effort behind him. 2. GHIELMI - He was beaten at short odds when he was presented first up at Queanbeyan last start but he did become unsuited in transit on the day. He now returns to his home base with a Gear Change reversed. Blinkers are back on. He can atone.

Race 8 - 5:50PM ERC OLD BOYS BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)

7. ZIPITALIST - He returned to home base here third up last start when he failed to beat a runner home/1200m but there were excuses and the performance must be ignored. His previous run/Moruya was full of merit within this distance range. 1. APOLLO MISSION - After Trialing twice, he was presented first up here at his home base last start with Mitch Stapleford aboard. His Beaten Margin (2.1 Lengths) was most misleading after he struck trouble. A step up from 1200m already suits him. 4. HELL’S ITCH - He presents first up after Trialing at Hawkesbury and at home/Randwick. He is proven first up and he is proven within this distance range. 6. TIGER TOWN - He performed well above Market Place expectations at Newcastle first up in a Race that’s produced solid form. He’s Race-fitter now.
